Description
This is a great resource I use anytime I have students participate in a gallery walk activity. I value gallery walks in the classroom, because they provide a great opportunity for students to celebrate, admire, and learn from the work of their peers. I have students complete a gallery walk after they finish both minor and major visual projects. Since students move freely around the classroom during a gallery-walk, while evaluating a project created by their peers, it can sometimes be a little chaotic! To bring in a bit more structure and learning, while also keeping the socializing to a minimum, I have them complete this chart. Students are asked to review 5 different projects, sharing what they found interesting, what they learned, and more. After, I have a whole class discussion where students share their notes from this feedback form with the class. Students love the discussion portion, because many students will share what they enjoyed about other students' projects. This is a great community builder activity for your classroom!
Aside from gallery walks, this is also a great activity for students to complete during class presentations as well. I love that this activity holds students accountable to share what they learn from their peers' presentations.
This was made on a Google Doc. and can be completed as a printout or completed digitally.
