Description
Are you looking for a fun way to help your student master the memorization of states in each of the five regions of the United States? The States Matching Game is just what you need.
Students will enjoy playing while they learn. Students can play with a partner or by themselves. Players take turns flipping over two cards and matching them if they are from different states, or if they are from the same state. If you match more than one pair, you get extra points! This game is super fun for students who love to learn about Social Studies!
This Activity aligns with the Social Studies Standards:
⚬ SS.3.G.2.3 Label the states in each of the five regions of the United States.
Cards are included for each of the five regions of the United States:
✍️ Northeast Region
✍️ Southeast Region
✍️ Midwest Region
✍️ Southwest Region
✍️ West Region
How to Play:
1. The first player should flip over two (2) cards
2. Flip the card until a player got matching cards
3. If a player gets a match card, they can get going again with a flipping turn
4. Continue the steps above
5. The player with the most number of matching cards wins.
