What's Included in this pack?
★There are 3 fiction and 3 non-fiction reading passages for level G readers.
★There are response to reading worksheets for each passage. Each worksheet will ask four comprehension questions. At this point, students should be answering in complete sentences. Questions 5-8 will work with using sight words from the passage to fill in the blanks.
★There are Guided Writing sheets and instructions for each passage. There will be a sheet that instructs you about the different types of Guided Writing you will do with your students for each passage. These are the included types of writing worksheets for fiction passages: beginning, middle, end and a story map. These are the included types of writing worksheets for non-fiction passages: main idea, new facts learned, and further research. The further research document may need to be a whole group assignment because this can be a little challenging for students who may not know how to use a computer/google. I thought this would be a fun added resource though!
★There will be word work for each story. At a level G, students should still be learning how to spell with some digraphs and short and long vowel words. Each story will have its own set of cards that you can print out. You will need to cut these cards out and give them to each student and have them read the words. A lot of the cards after each story may have repetitive words, but they will be in a different order. This is to ensure that they can read and decode with that certain skill.(Not memorization) After they have read the words, they may pass it to their partner until everyone reads each card. At the beginning of this pack their will be a page titled 'Word Work: level G". This page will be where you can find the words your students will need to use for sound boxes/using magnetic letters to spell the words with the skills for level G. Included in this pack that was not included with the other pack, will be an analogy chart page that you can start using with your students.
