Description
This set of 20 task cards is sure to be an engaging ELA activity for your grade 4 and grade 5 learners. What better way to practice/review figurative language skills than to get up and moving. You can incorporate the task cards into the middle or end of a grammar unit. Or use them as an assessment tool to measure how well your learners are understanding this particular ELA concept. With each card, learners will work their way through the task of completing 20 popular idioms. They'll fill in the blanks with words presented in a multiple-choice format. Along with each idiom is a graphic that will help guide learners to the correct answer. These task cards are great in a variety of educational environments. Once laminated, they can be used year-over-year, indoors and outdoors. Display them in learning centers to get your learners up and moving or use them in whole class seatwork. They also make the perfect addition to resource learning for small groups. This product contains two sets of cards. The first is in full-color format, while the second is in black & white format. There is also a page which contains 2 answer recording sheets, designed to save you ink/toner while printing. An answer key rounds out the product. Below are the details of each task card.
