I changed from using interactive notebooks to using interactive binders!
Interactive notebooks are a great way to get your students thinking and to help keep them organized. But if you're like me, sometimes the kids just took too much time to get things trimmed and taped/glued into their notebooks. Our class periods are only 42 minutes long and I can't waste a minute!
After struggling with INBs for 2 years, I finally came up with a kind of "hybrid" INB that works great for me and my students - I call it an Interactive Binder! Instead of cutting and gluing into a spiral or composition notebook, we use 3 ring binders instead. I could have all materials already hole-punched and ready to go, so we could get going quickly and spend our time learning and "doing".
This product includes:
~my fully editable student-friendly PowerPoint presentation
~Table of Contents form
~Grading rubric
~Teacher Instruction and Suggestions
This product could be used in any course and at most grade levels. I've found it really helps to keep my students organized.
I am using the Interactive Binders for my 8th Grade history classes. So far, it's been a success! This resource is very helpful at teaching organizational skills!
