Description

Text-based lesson plan, fuel for actual instruction and discussion. I have pioneered what I call the "Rock Drill" method. The students' education progresses and moves like a drill: as you twist downward, broader concepts are brought to a point, moving efficiently deeper. For example, today's lesson on Natives is brought to a specific detail of history (the concept of 'wampum') after there is first discussion of what concepts enabled this occurrence. But more broadly, education itself delves deeper as they see how Biology and History are part of the same "slant" (of a drill).

It may help instruction to elaborate on why it is valuable to understand the boundaries between two subject areas, and where they do not have boundaries. This is especially helpful to spectrum disorder children, because the nature of the disorder is organizing the world outside their heads in a maladaptive manner. Removing non-existent boundaries fulfills criteria for assisting with the special needs of spectrum children, and others.
