Text-based lesson plan - actual fuel for instruction and discussion. At Havenforth University, our credo is "Straight. Effective. Accurate." All the data follows and flows smoothly throughout the lesson plan. With expounding or extrapolation, this lesson plan can easily last a full hour of instruction.
I have developed/pioneered the "Rock Drill" method, where the machinations of the lesson plan resemble the machinations of a drill. You start with making a pathway of context in order to reach the goal, where we are drilling. Concepts and key vocabulary words can be unearthed in the advance downwards. After thoroughly clearing a way to the concepts you want people to learn, it eliminates difficulty in the students' receiving the information without context. Instead of tattooing a definition into the minds of the students, these lesson plans wind information downward in tandem to create a unified educational experience, just like the eponymous rock drill.
