Need some online manipulatives for addition and subtraction problems? This file is a 10-frame template that you will add your own addition and subtraction problems to. Each 10 frame template has 2 different counters and a stack of 10 of each counter ready to drag. You, or your students, drag the pre-made counters to the frames to the grid to help them visualize the numbers they are working with. You might choose to add specific problems ahead of time, or you could write them in on the fly as you work with students in a live Jamboard session. To use this file, you will need a Google account with access to Jamboard. Please check before buying that you have access to Jamboard! Some school districts have not enabled it " you may need to ask your IT department to switch it on. Please note that Jamboard will cease to exist after September 2024.
There are many ways to use this file! You could use it on an interactive whiteboard, or you could share the file with students. They can each have their own copy, or the activity can be collaborative if they are given shared access to the file. You could also use this file while working remotely with students. Having the drag and drop counters ready to go saves both teachers and students time.
Duplicate the frames as many times as you need to before sharing with students, or have the students use the 'undo' button to remove work they've done on one problem before moving on to another one.
