Around Thanksgiving, grocery stores are swarming with customers looking for ingredients to make their favorite holiday meals. Many students gain valuable job experience from working at job sites like a grocery store to learn important vocational skills. This activity adds a seasonal twist to simple retail tasks like stocking shelves and packing customer orders commonly seen around Thanksgiving.
In this set of BOOM CARDS, students get to practice job skills with a Thanksgiving themed twist! Students will complete stocking various shelves for food items that people buy around Thanksgiving. This activity has students carefully read the labels to ensure they place the items in the correct location on the shelves. Three separate versions are included with your purchase. The first version has students simply stock two different items into the correct location. The second version has students practice sorting a larger variety of items into the correct location. Finally, level three has students fulfill customer pickup orders for groceries. This is a great, age appropriate activity that provides students with an opportunity to practice job skills in a structured format.
