Description
With this DIGITAL activity, students will read a variety of job listings and answer comprehension questions about them. There are a total of 8 different job listings included with your purchase. Level TWO of this unit includes higher level text with more words and vocabulary. If you are looking for a lower and more modified reading level for your students, try UNIT ONE! Each job listing has 5 corresponding comprehension questions with it. That is a total of FORTY questions for your students to answer!
This activity is specifically formatted to be used with Google Drive and is compatible with Google Classroom. Google Drive is an amazing resource that many educators are now using as an interface to support 1:1 digital instruction in the classroom. I pair it up with Google Classroom (a free website) that allows me to digitally send each student in my class a copy of the worksheets that they later submit to me for grading. With this lesson, students get to drag and drop their responses directly onto the digital worksheet. It is an amazing paper-free process and the kids LOVE working on these worksheets on the computer.

The job listings are realistic, age-appropriate, and contain real-world vocabulary students will encounter when applying for job themselves. This is an excellent activity to promote independent living skills, work on IEP transition skills, and a great way to gather data for real world comprehension skills as well!
