This kindergarten summer review packet will keep your students' skills fresh and prevent summer slide as they move into 1st grade. Includes 10 weeks of quick, fun, and engaging activities that promote learning and help students maintain the skills you taught all year.
Each week includes:
• Tic-Tac-Toe Skill Builder Board
• Math Practice
• Reading ELA Practice
Designed to be sent home for summer skill practice, but you can also use the math and reading pages for end-of-year review at school and send home just the weekly tic-tac-toe boards.
The tic-tac-toe board prompts the student to choose at least two activities to complete that week. There are a mix of tasks that build literacy, math, or life skills in a fun way such as playing a board game with a family member, reading to an adult, helping prepare a meal, or practice tying your shoes.
The math and reading pages feature essential skills with a fun flying theme.
Math skills include:
• addition and subtraction within 20
• number words
• creating a simple graph
• counting and writing numbers
ELA and Reading Skills include:
• sight words
• reading comprehension
• initial sounds
• spelling and reading cvc words
• writing simple sentences
• alike and different (basic compare and contrast)
