Overview:
Start the year off with safety in mind by sending your students on a treasure hunt! This resource includes 20 question cards that students will use in conjunction with Cap'n Beaker's treasure map and your own school/district safety contract. With each correct answer, students will eliminate a location from the treasure map. Break students into small groups or set the clue cards out as stations!
My students LOVE this treasure hunt. Feel free to offer candy "treasure" for those that discover its hiding place!
DISCLAIMER: This resource is to be used with your school or district safety contract. I do not provide a safety contract in this resource. If you are looking for a free safety contract, I recommend the one from Flinn Scientific, which pairs well with this resource.
Students Will:
- Answer multiple choice and true/false questions regarding general lab safety
- Evaluate given scenarios to determine if lab safety was followed
