Description
This worksheet allows students to practice finding characteristics and features of a logarithmic function when given as a graph or an equation. Students need to know how to find x and y-intercepts both graphically and algebraically (or with technology). There are four graphs and four equations - for a total of eight functions.
Students will be asked to find the following characteristics:
-Domain & Range
-X-intercept(s)
-Y-intercept
-Increasing/Decreasing intervals
-End Behavior
-Asymptotes
This worksheet works great as an in-class practice or as homework! It is also a great discussion tool to have students begin to notice patterns associated with a logarithmic function and its characteristics and equation.
An answer key is provided. (Note: the answer key uses interval notation)
