Description
To often English Language Learners struggle because teachers assume they know more "everyday" words that used in lessons.
This set of flashcards is designed to help ELL students be successful during a lesson where prepared microscope slides are being used. "Anyone" can look through the microscope and draw what they see. The typical directions for students. But to understand what they are seeing they need to connect the small piece of that organism to what it is and what part it is.
There are 3 versions for each term.
One version is a picture and the term in English
The next version is a picture and the term in Korean and English
The last version is just the picture.
The sets has 3 themes: tools used in biology, plant anatomy and names of plants often used in prepared slides, human organ systems (very simple level)
When students use the flashcards to learn the vocabulary terms in this set, they will
learn the names of the different pieces of equipment so they will feel confident when reading and following directions.
gain a full understanding when viewing prepared microscope slides by knowing what the specimen came from.
see the different between plant and animal cells as it will no longer be a mystery which slides are from plants and which are from animals.
