Description
This is a great project for my beginning art students. First, the students learn about Georgia O'Keeffe and her art by watching 3 short YouTube videos and taking notes on them. Then they are asked to create an original close up watercolor painting of a flower. It takes us 7 45 minute class sessions to complete this project.
This project works really well with middle school art students on smaller paper (9 x 12"), or in pairs of two students collaborating on larger paper.
