The lecture is designed to give students a solid foundation in the origin of the Cold War. The focus in on the years between 1945 and 1949. The guided notes have space to answer the questions embedded within the lecture, label maps, analyze images and speeches, and define key terms. Student feedback on these classroom-tested guided notes is overwhelmingly positive. Students feel they make the lesson "come alive" and help keep them organized.

The included activities give you a range of supplements to the core lesson.
