Introduces students to parts that make up a newspaper: Front Page, Sections/Pages/Article Types, and Parts of an Article.
Includes:
Newspaper Parts -Student Lesson Notes- 3 blank guided notes pages with teacher "answer keys" for how to structure notes on the pages.
Look & Discover- Parts of a Newspaper Activity- This is a three-part individual or group activity where students look through newspapers to see what parts there are to them.
Match the Section/Page/Article Types: This activity is a worksheet that matches sections/pages/article types to definitions.
Match the Headlines Activity: This activity is a worksheet where students read a headline and determine which section/page/article type it belongs with.
Scavenger Hunt Activity- This is an individual or group activity where students take a newspaper and hunt for different items within it.
Make a complete unit and get all of the Newspaper Lessons & Activities in a bundle; make it an even bigger unit with an Individual Newspaper Project or Group Newspaper Project, which are all available within my site or stores.
