Overview:
Observing patterns within the fossil record is engaging and easy with this three page reading passage, question worksheet, and fossil layers puzzle activity. Your students will learn about how fossils form, transition fossils, index fossils, and environmental change with a high-interest reading passage. They will then put their fossil analyzing skills to the test by completing a puzzle based on patterns present within the fossil record.
