This Poetry (Grades 4-12) cooperative brainstorming activity is intended for a poetry unit within an English/Language Arts course. A perfect collaborative learning activity, students can either work independently or in pairs/teams. Students are recommended to use their classroom ELA textbook to help discover poetic terms, poets, and famous poem titles. FYI: This puzzle is a 30-40 minute activity that uses a Focus Word to encourage students to discover answers to the relevant category questions by using prior knowledge, subject content, or collaboration. It is the perfect and simple activity that encourages thinking, making connections, and is just plain fun!
