This social skill story or social narrative, "I Can Poop in the Potty" is designed to help children who are experiencing poop withholding or fear of pooping in the toilet. This is an excellent resource for kids who are toilet training but are stuck on the step of pooping in the toilet. It features photographs with girls and would be a great resource for young children with autism or special education needs who are embarking on their toilet training journey or need a little help during the process.
This social skills story is similar to a social story but is more conversational and interactive than traditional social stories. The social narrative introduces the steps of pooping in the bathroom in simple language with colorful, realistic photos. The story uses the terms poop, and potty, but they can be replaced with whatever terms the child is most familiar with.
