Create A Positive Affirmation Mirror to support positive self talk
Post these positive affirmation photographs cards around the room or arrange around a door mirror for students to use as their daily affirmations. You can also use hand mirrors and make a class set by printing the illustrations smaller. for Introduce and highlighting each word and explain their meaning. Engage your students in brainstorm samples that illustrate the meaning of each word. For example, " I am brave when I try a new food." Encourage students to use the words to describe their friends. For example, "Mary is kind because she includes me in her tag games."
I do this lesson as part of our social emotional learning (SEL).
