Description

If you have a student with autism in early elementary or preschool that insists on bringing toys from home into the classroom and it is creating a distraction in your classroom, you may find this social narrative, 'School Toys and Home Toys" helpful as a resource to use in the classroom or as a send home resource. It discusses the importance of keeping home toys at home and school toys at school and details several reasons. The story introduces that idea of waiting for a 'show and tell" day each week where they can bring toys, but if this is not applicable to your classroom you can easily leave pages out so that it does not mention a show and tell day. A colorful visual support is included to help students understand when they can or cannot bring a toy to class (if they are allowed for show and share day) that includes a small section for them to see how well they did accepting the toy rule for the day. This printable resource is made with realistic photographs to appeal to young children and children with autism. Pictures are included to go on the calendar visual support.
Includes:
✅ Social skills story
