Description

In this real world probability project for high school or middle school, students create a carnival game. They calculate the probabilities of all outcomes and write a probability analysis in essay form. There is a Probability Carnival Day in class, and students collect data on outcomes of their game. Then, they compare their theoretical and experimental probabilities.

Their games must be based on certain types of probability, but this is left blank for the teacher to have students fill in to fit the needs of their class. Possibilities include combinations, permutations, independent and dependent events, compound probability, conditional probability, geometric probability, and any other form that your class needs to practice.
