Description
Are you looking for a real life application for area and perimeter? This activity encourages students to realize that a scale model's area and perimeter can be used to determine the area/perimeter of the full scale model. It also introduces the cost association with this to further promote applications from algebra and geometry. This is geared towards a basic geometry, regular geometry class although can be used for an honors class if more requirements are added. This product has five student pages and an answer key as well as some suggested teacher directions/implementations.
