This sort is a quick and easy way to reinforce science vocabulary! It includes 24 different picture examples of transparent, translucent, and opaque objects (8 of each), a sorting sheet, a foldable for interactive notebooks, and an answer key. It can be used in so many ways! Laminate the sorting sheet and pictures to use as a center or station activity, use the foldable as notes in interactive notebooks, a homework assignment, or a formative assessment. Differentiate by changing the amount and which pictures students use. A visual and tactile way to review science vocabulary for units on both light waves and properties of matter. This is one of my low-prep “Print, Cut, Learn” activities. Print out the pictures, cut them apart and let the learning begin! Supports skills from NGSS MS PS1-2, 5 PS1-3; TEKS SCI.6.6.A, SCI.5.5.A, SCI.4.5.A; VA SOL ps.3a, 5.7.a and KS2 Year 4.
