The task cards included can be used for any fiction text. The questions are organized into categories based on the reading skills; making predictions, making inferences, making connections, analyzing, synthesizing, and critiquing. Each category includes questions related to setting, character, plot, theme, author's craft, and more. These task cards are perfect for getting students engaged in meaningful discussions about the books, or texts, they are reading.

3 Printable sets of task cards are included. Each set has the same questions. I created 3 different versions to meet the needs of all my customers.
Color Icons and Patterned Color Backgrounds
Black and White Icons and Patterned Black and White Backgrounds
Black and White Icons and NO Background - best to print on different colored paper to distinguish the skill sets.
Each version includes the following:
6 Task Card Set Covers- create multiple sets by dividing the cards from each skill category to make multiple sets for various student groups.
1 cover for each Skill Set (Making Predictions, Making Inferences, Making Connections, Synthesize, Analyze, and Critique) - use these covers to separate cards into skill sets.
