Description
This project will help students create artwork inspired by contemporary artist Romero Britto's vibrant Pop Art! Students choose their own subject matter for their Pop Art so that no two projects will look alike!
Recommended for students in grades 2, 3, 4, 5, and up, this art lesson will likely take about two or three class periods.
This resource is delivered as a PDF that includes information about the art lesson and procedures for the teacher, and two student direction handouts (one in color, one in black and white).
This lesson requires no prep aside from photocopying the student handout. Download and begin teaching right away! This would also work well as a sub plan with the detailed student instruction handout and the low-maintenance material list.
Materials needed:
- 9"x12" drawing paper
- Pencils
- Rulers or straightedge
- Black permanent markers, both ultra fine and a thicker marker
- Colorful markers or other coloring material
