This resource includes:
1. Scarecrow Adjectives- brainstorming page
2. Five Senses Sentences Foldable Activity.
3. All About the Scarecrow-Students will name their scarecrow, list his likes and dislikes, and circle the character traits their scarecrow portrays.
Writing prompt #1-
My Day with the Scarecrow
What did you do with the scarecrow once he came to life? How did he come to life? Did you eat, sing, or play? List the three things you did below.
4. Differentiated planning pages is provided to students to brainstorm the activities that he/she would do with the scarecrow! There will be 3 different things they will do together.
5. Six differentiated versions of the story page are provided. The versions include- Lined with larger lines for younger students, smaller lines for older students, blank, and digital.
7. A Color by Number Scarecrow activity where students answer generic fall/scarecrow questions to figure out what color to color the empty spaces.
8. A directive drawing activity which gives students step-by-step directions to draw a scarecrow. These drawings could be used to display each student's writing in the hallway.
9. Design your own Scarecrow boy or girl.
10. Decorate your own scarecrow boy or girl coloring page.
11. Writing Prompt #2- If you were a scarecrow, where in the world would you like to be? Why? 8 differentiated final copy templates.
