Description
This figurative language activity teaches similes with pictures, phrases, and sentences. Teaching figurative language is fun with these digital task cards that are self checking, no prep, and paperless!
Included are:
2 - practice cards with the picture of the simile, name, and meaning
15 - "what is the simile?" multiple choice
15 - "what does the simile mean?" multiple choice
15 - multiple choice sentences
15 - fill in the blank: What is the simile? What does it mean? Type a sentence. (These are open response and need to be graded manually)
The following 15 similes are used in this activity:
as hot as an oven
as wise as an owl
as old as dirt
as happy as a clam
like 2 peas in a pod
as sick as a dog
as blind as a bat
slept like a log
as sharp as a tack
like a fish out of water
as clean as a whistle
as busy as a bee
as fit as a fiddle
as quiet as a mouse
cry like a baby
