Description
Slap the Sloth is a Speech Practice game targeting the sl sound in words that begin with sl- prefixes. Speech practice can be fun with the use of my targeted games! This game comes with 2 sets of cards. One with pictures and words for nonreaders and beginning readers and one set with only words for readers. I printed and play with both to add variety and fun!
Deal out all the cards and each player takes a turn turning over 1 card and placing it on the discard pile. As the card is discarded the player correctly pronounces the sl- word represented. When the sloth card is played the first person to slap it wins the pile! The person with the most cards at the end of the game wins!
This is not to replace speech therapy but to provide a fun way to practice words and targeted sounds. Use for one-on-one practice or as a loaned game for the student to practice at home.
