Spring is the perfect time for poetry!
This resource includes:
-an introduction to acrostic poetry
-an individual brainstorming activities for students
-a class brainstorm share-out activity and word wall
-6 different templates for final pieces of poetry
This unit is perfect for an elementary classroom and has built-in supports for students who need a little extra help. This unit has also been successful in my special education classroom due to all of the scaffolding before the students are asked to complete the final poem.
