Description
Are you looking for an engaging systems of equations review activity that is low-prep and easy to assign? Students love the puzzle aspect of an escape room! This is a fun way to review solving by graphing, substitution, and elimination at the end of your systems of equations unit. Escape rooms give instant feedback because students must enter exact lock codes to progress from room to room. Hint cards are an option for those students who need a little extra support. Note that while this is intended to be a digital self-checking Google Forms resource, you can also print the escape room and use it as a non-digital activity as well!
Problem types include:
-Determining if a given point is a solution to a system
-Solving a linear system graphically
-Determining in a system of equations has no solution
-Solving systems using the substitution and elimination methods
-Solving word problems using systems of equations
This resource includes:
-A Google Form escape room with 9 'rooms"
-A second version of the escape room with QR code hints built in (note that a Google account is needed to access digital hints)
-A Google slide deck with all hint cards
-Printable versions of all rooms and hint cards
-Printable answer document
-'I escaped" and 'We escaped" signs for fun photo opportunities
