Description
Purposeful Play BUNDLES are created to embed academics in your classroom. This means integrating academic learning concepts like letter recognition, counting, and basic vocabulary into everyday preschool activities and routines, rather than having separate dedicated "academic" lessons, allowing children to learn naturally through play and interaction with their environment; essentially, making learning happen seamlessly within regular play and routines.

Cut out employee badges, labels, signs, etc. and laminate.
Visit your local Home Depot store and ask for donations (brochures, posters, aprons, materials, etc.)
Utilize different furniture in your classroom to create the perfect area.
Provide uniforms, cell phones, supplies, telephone, writing instruments, clipboards, wallets, etc.
Label EVERYTHING! Visit a Dollar Store and purchase some colorful baskets or containers. Print two sets of labels. Tape one to the container and one to the shelf where you place the container. Clean-up Time becomes a lesson by focusing on sorting skills.
MODEL how to play and clean-up! Children need to hear the language used at a home depot. Describe different employee roles and their duties. Take a field trip, invite a home depot employee to your class, or show a video.
