The following worksheet has two categories, character development and comprehension.
In character development, students will answer questions that are specific to a character in the novel. These are short answer response questions.
In comprehension, students will answer questions about the overall chapter and questions that relate either to their life or today's society. For each comprehension question, students will need to provide correctly cited textual evidence supporting their answer. This helps students perfect their citation skills.
Overall, this has been successful in my classroom, as well as many others. Feel free to edit and change the spacing based on your preference.
