Description

Do you need a resource to help your young students develop a social filter? This social narrative "Say it or Think it" is a great resource to begin introducing the idea that some thoughts are ok to have but may hurt people's feelings if said aloud.

The concept of "think or say" or understanding what is appropriate to say in social settings can be a difficult skill for young children or children with autism or related disabilities to understand. This social skills story uses the visuals of red, green, and yellow lights to help students understand that we can stop and pause before speaking and decide if something should be said out loud or just thought, "say or think".

This social narrative features photographs and simple text and would be a great resource for young children with autism or special education needs who benefit from explicit teaching of social skills.

This social skills story is similar to a social story but is more conversational and interactive and less directive than traditional social stories. The social narrative features individuals of a variety of ethnicities, genders, and ages.

❤️Thank you so much for buying this resource!
