Do you need a resource to help your young students develop a social filter? Understanding what is appropriate to say in social settings can be a difficult skill for young children or children with autism or related disabilities to understand. These preschool social skill activities and worksheets were designed to help young children understand which thoughts should be kept in their head vs thoughts that are okay to say out loud. The social skills unit includes a 'See it or Think it" social story, an interactive social skills book to practice choosing 'seeing it vs saying it" and worksheets to reinforce this social emotional (SEL) skill. The story and activities in this social skills resource are adaptable for a variety of ages but specifically designed for preschool, kindergarten, or special education students who are not yet able to independently read or write. A a mini-book to color is included to help students carry over the skills they are learning to the home environment.
