Adding 3 Whole Numbers Using Numbers 1-20

Goal: To solve word problems using the addition of 3 whole numbers and coloring in the ice cream scoops to reflect the word problem. Instructions: Print out as many worksheets as you would like. Each word problem will be similar to 'Sally ordered 7 scoops of blue, 6 scoops of red and 7 scoops of green ice cream.'

The student will need to write out how many scoops in total that Sally or James ordered. The student will also need to color in the ice cream scoops to reflect the number and color stated in the word problem.

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.OA.A.2 -Solve word problems that call for addition of three whole numbers whose sum is less than or equal to 20, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem
