Description
This Veterans Day unit is a great addition to your classroom. It consists of a 5-page book with related activities. The unit is designed for students with intellectual disabilities and autism but can also be used in general education elementary grades or ELL.
This unit has a 5-page text in 3 levels and an assessment/comprehension test. Level 1 contains pictures over text. There are 5 related activities to teach vocabulary, fill in the blanks, answer wh-questions, and more. Each activity has multiple levels of support (color-coded, cut and paste, write-in).
This unit provides opportunities for repetition in the classroom, which is essential for students with intellectual disabilities, as well as the use of visuals.
Activities included: Vocabulary match and definitions, vocabulary diagram, fill in the blanks, wh-questions, and a word search.
Also included: Unit Implementation Suggestions.
