These MUSIC (Grades 3-12) cooperative brainstorming activities entitled WELCOME are great the first week of the class. There are 2 levels: Upper Elementary-Grade 8 (Basic) and Challenging (For 8-12). These puzzles can be done independently or in pairs/teams. FYI: These puzzles are a 20-35 minute activity that uses a Focus Word to encourage students to discover answers to the relevant category questions by using prior knowledge, subject content, or collaboration. It is the perfect and simple activity that encourages thinking, cooperation, making connections, and is just plain fun!
