Description
An ugly Christmas sweater craft project and writing activity for middle school! This winter project will keep your kids busy with a meaningful activity. Kids will roll the dice and put decorations on their sweaters. The writing activity has a brainstorm to get them focused on a creative writing story. This is a printable activity with digital options. Makes a great bulletin board!
Here is what is included:
✅Sweater pattern - print on paper or oaktag
✅Dice rolling activity - for decorations
✅Writing brainstorm - gets kids ideas organized before writing
✅Writing paper - print and digital options
✅Holiday shapes - optional if you prefer kids to color/cut/paste
✅Examples - of project, brainstorm, and writing so you and your kids know exactly what to do
You will need:
✅Printed copies of the sweater (paper or cardstock)
✅Markers or crayons or colored pencils
✅Glue stick and scissors (optional if you are using the holiday shapes provided)
✅Copies of brainstorm and writing paper (optional to do this digitally)
✅Dice - or use the digital dice roller that is provided
Here is what I recommend:
⭐Some parts of this project, such as the directions and the brainstorm are editable, so make any changes you'd like first.
⭐Gather your supplies (listed above).
⭐Kids will create their sweaters by rolling the dice and adding their own flare as well.
⭐Kids will color and cut out their sweaters.
⭐Kids will then complete the 'brainstorm" for the writing activity.
⭐Finally, kids will create their story. There is a printable and digital version of the writing paper; use whichever you'd like.
⭐I have examples of the sweater, brainstorm, and the start of a story so that you and your kids will know exactly what to do.
⭐These make a fantastic holiday bulletin board display!
