Having fun and meaningful winter ELA activities is always helpful. Use this collaborative poster to make a great bulletin board display as well. Kids can write in a book they are reading or would like to read and add it to the poster. No prep...just print, hang, and go!
The poster reads: Cozy Up with a Good Book
Includes:
➡️24 ready to print pages
➡️Numbers on pages for easy assembling
➡️Directions for assembling
You'll need:
✅Crayons
✅Stapler
✅Bulletin board
✅Printed copies
Here are some tips:
⭐️There are 24 pieces. If you have less than 24 students, assign students who would like an extra to do so. If you have more than 24 students, you can partner some kids together.
⭐️Print this packet. Each page is separate, so it's super easy!
⭐️Be sure your printer is set to 'fit to paper". You can find that under 'more settings" and then 'scale". (Note: This slideshow is formatted at 11 x 8.5, which is standard printing paper).
⭐️You can also opt to print 2 pages on 1 sheet (go to 'more settings"), but you will likely have to trim the borders with a paper cutter if you do that.
⭐️Crayons/colored pencils are overall better than markers as they don't smear.
⭐️You might want kids to color in the actual letters and leaves using only one color, but that's up to you.
⭐️Have kids add in a book that they are reading or would like to read. Titles should be underlined. You might want them to go over the words in a marker so they stand out.
⭐️Use anytime during the winter season.
⭐️Display! They go 6 pieces across and 4 rows down.
