Description
This Winter-Hot Cocoa Color by Number contains 25 problems. Students will practice generating equivalent fractions by finding the missing number/term (numerator or denominator) to make the fractions equivalent.
Included in this Lesson:
• Information Page
• On-level Color By Number Page
• Above-level Color By Number Page
• Answer Key
• Sample Student Notes that can be printed and posted in a Math Center, included in Substitute Teacher Plans, or for students who may have missed your original lesson.
Differentiation:
You could use the 1st activity page (contains more problems with multiplying by a common factor rather than dividing by a common factor) with your average/below average students.
Use the 2nd activity page with advanced students needing a challenge (contains some challenging problems in which you must simplify the fraction first before multiplying/dividing by the common factor - or use cross multiplying as you would with proportions).
