What's the difference between Public and Private School fundraising?

Public Schools
(Tax-Charitable Contribution Deductions)
Since public schools are government-funded and are tax-exempt entities, all donors can receive a Tax-Charitable Contribution receipt. Yes, all donations to public schools are tax-deductible.

Private Schools
Private schools will be able to provide a Tax-Charitable Contribution receipt as well if they have a school endowment fund or operate a non-profit for the school. If they don't, they can still raise donations but it will be considered a "Personal Gift" for tax purposes for donors.
