This is a power-packed multi-file bundle that includes the following:

This is a great introductory course for homeschool parents who want to follow my "Ms. K's Writing, Reading, & Thinking" "curriculum" and/or supplemental activities for Middle School language and writing learners. You will benefit from this packet with definitions, examples, and lessons/tips for homeschool parents and teachers. Mostly geared at language arts and writing activities, the first file is an introduction to my overall homeschool modules program which is composed of a number of lessons and modules for the middle grades, which I taught for over 2 decades. The next one, "Introduction to Thinking Skills" addresses the various thinking processes of different types of writing that kids will encounter in the school system and throughout life. The mp4 file has no actual video, but I originally recorded it as an audio file, and Classful does not allow audio-only files, so I converted it with a tool I have to a video file. So listen to the audio of this one. You will see a black screen.
This packet or bundle includes a document file with notes for parents. I thought about what would help parents of homeschooled kids and tried to include some of the most important things to help you in your homeschool journey.
Try to play them in the order I have listed above so they make the most sense, but that is up to you. You will discover the importance of teaching thinking skills, which should precede writing instruction so that the thinking process is tied to the writing.
Note: I have forgotten right now how many pages are in the PowerPoints but you get 2 of them so I know it's more than 30 pages like I've noted in the description. But that's a minimum page count. Remember, these modules are for you, the parent/teacher, but also for students once you have had time to digest the material and plan how you will share it with kids.
This course is part of the more extensive "30-minute Mastery" system that I am working on. It is not my intention to imply that anyone can learn anything entirely and thoroughly in 30 minutes. Still, it is symbolic of how I try to focus on shorter "mini-lessons" that hit the most critical points that should help kids get a grasp of essential concepts.
