Description
This short animated video was created for the purpose of teaching young people how to manage their time in school and outside of school. It talks about the key aspects of organization such as planning a schedule so that the priority items are achieved first, then there is time for relaxation and enjoyment.
This is a valuable lesson for middle school students and this video may be a helpful resource of reminding kids who forget that Mom or Dad are their teacher also in the homeschool environment and that it is important to use time wisely and stay focused during the lessons to get the most benefit out of it.
Extension Activity: Have students watch the video several times if needed and then discuss what they learned, listing the most important things from the conversation in the video and including their own ideas to add to it. Have them include ways to manage time in doing homework, school projects, and other activities. Encourage them to develop a system of time management that works for them.
Then parents/teachers could use it as a writing prompt to write about time management for kids and discuss the most important ways to manage their time.
