  • Do I need any supplies?
    Students will need a pencil, scissors and glue to make this foldable. Color pencils, crayons or markers will also be helpful but are required.
  • What is included?
    3 foldables (mitosis, mitosis with prometaphase & meiosis), answer key and suggested video resources.
  • What resources should student use to complete the foldables?
    Students can use several resources to find the answers including textbooks and videos. Suggested digital resources such as videos, songs and websites is included. For students needing more help, fill in the foldable together, an answer key is included.
  • This looks complicated, how does it go together?
    Cut out the 3 circles and glue the layers in order - there is a 'glue here" circle in the center. Next, cut the top 2 layers on the dotted lines to make the flaps.
  • What are the benefits to using foldables?
    Students are engaged while practicing vocabulary. More fun than traditional notes!
  • How do I use this foldable in an Interactive Notebook (INB)?
    Follow the directions to assemble. Students complete the descriptions & illustrations then glue the back into their notebooks.
  • How can I differentiate?
    There are several ways such as watching 1 or more of the suggested video links, stopping and starting at each phase so students can fill in the information. Work together as a group using the included answer key. Print and give students either the illustration or description 'wheels" and have them fill in the other.
