Need a fun way to welcome your young learners back to school?
This activity is perfect for helping your students meet new friends, interact, discover common interests, and have fun during their first week of school!
Here's how it works: Cut each card and place them face down on the desks. Alternatively, taping the cards underneath chairs or desks can make it even more exciting. Then, let your students go on a quest to find the person with the matching object on their card. They can ask each other the questions written on their respective cards.
Not only does this activity help alleviate any first-day jitters, but it also provides a fantastic opportunity for handwriting practice and social skill development.
There are a total of 26 cards, with 13 pairs to match. The cards feature school objects such as an apple, backpack, globe, calculator, chalkboard, book, notebook, paintbrush/palette, crayons, pencil, bus, glue, and scissors.
