Description
Alphabet and Number Sense Activity Mats for back to school have letter and number formation examples to use with whiteboard markers, loose parts, or playdough to help develop fine motor skills, as well as letter identification. Letters are also represented with diverse images showing ASL. Students are encouraged to Trace it, Make it, Sign it, Find it, and Write it! Each of the 26 letters has a watercolor image of an animal to help students make connections between the letters and their corresponding sounds.
ASL images include medical alert bracelet, henna, tattoo, pride nails and much more, to be more inclusive and representative. When students see themselves represented in their classroom, they develop stronger feelings of community and belonging, which helps with classroom management.
Number mats for numbers 1 to 10 have numeral formation, number word, and showing numbers with fingers. Diverse skin tones are used to show numbers with fingers.
Included are 2 different borders, boho with a neutral color palette or a bark print, to complement your classroom. The bark is an ink friendly option.
NO PREP, just print and go! Laminate for reuse, or print and complete a section at a time in centers, small group or large group lessons.
