Description

Lesson 2.3 - Velocity includes the following files:

2.3 Velocity Notes
Covers the definition and method for calculating velocity. This notes sheet comes with an (A) version that has blanks for students to fill out as well as a completed (B) version for students who are absent or may require accommodations.

2.3 Velocity and Speed Practice
Students practice calculating an object's distance, displacement, speed, and velocity and comparing these measurements to each other. A great review of everything covered in Unit 2 to this point. This practice sheet comes with an (A) version to be used for the majority of students as well as a shorter and/or different (B) version to be used for students who are absent or may require accommodations.

2.3 Velocity and Speed Whiteboard Practice
This PowerPoint includes three pictures, each requiring students to find an object's distance, displacement, speed, and velocity. Have students write their answers on a whiteboard. At the end, students are asked to think about the differences between the measurements and under what circumstances they might be equal.

2.3 Velocity Practice Stations
This document includes 6 stations with 2 velocity questions each. The pages can be stapled to a manila folder and propped up. The answer page goes under the question page for students to check their answers. Have students use whiteboards to answer each question to add a little fun.

2.3 Objectives & Starter Questions PowerPoint
Learning objectives and sample starter questions for the topic.

2.3 PowerPoint Notes
Notes in PowerPoint format to make presentation to the class a breeze.

The following 2016 Indiana State Standards for Integrated Chemistry & Physics are addressed in this resource:
