New (or not so new) Montessori teachers: why would you want to invest in a fully written lesson plan when you have 9 albums that you can "easily" use to create them on your own?
I know I thought the same thing when I first started out. I felt very proud of my Montessori education as a Primary teacher. The training made is seem like a seamless transition to beginning the journey in the classroom. Then I met met with behaviors of children not designed to be in a Montessori classroom. Parent who were more demanding than supportive. Administration who wanted more from me than I was trained to deliver. And Assistants who wanted to help but felt just as overwhelmed as I did.
